Meet the faces behind Get Cycling: Rianna
Our success is powered by an exceptional team, and we’re excited to introduce you to the people who make it all happen.
Today, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our incredible team members – Rianna!
1. What’s your name and your role at Get Cycling?
My name is Rianna and I am the Marketing Coordinator – which is a fancy way of saying I look after our social media channels.
2. How long have you been working with us?
I’ve worked at Get Cycling for over 5 years and I’ve loved every minute.
3. What do you enjoy most about working at Get Cycling?
Working for a company that helps the community gives me great satisfaction. I also love seeing our customers enjoying their new cycles and the adventures they go on! The team here is also second to none – a really grand bunch.
4. What inspired you to work in this field?
I lived and worked in London for a few years in the natural health sector, I really enjoyed it as it was something I was passionate about. But after moving to York to start a family I wanted to try something new and set my sights on working in social media for a charity or a non-profit that helps the community in some way. I got very lucky with Get Cycling!
5. What’s your favourite type of cycle we offer, and why?
I love all of the recumbents we have, but the Van Raam Easy Rider has always been a fun one to take out for a spin!
6. Can you share a memorable moment you’ve had while working here?
Over the past five years at Get Cycling, I’ve experienced many unforgettable moments, but recently achieving a distinction in my Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship stands out as a particularly proud accomplishment. It means a lot to have had the full support of Get Cycling throughout this journey.
7. How do you spend your time when you’re not at work?
Most of my time outside of work is spent with my family, I have two little boys who are great fun and are very busy! Otherwise, I love going for bike rides, seeing live music, playing boardgames and playing tag rugby with my team Snakes N Taggers.
8. If you could take any of our cycles on an adventure, where would you go?
Holland, no question. Gorgeous scenery, amazing food and cycling infrastructure we can only dream of in the UK!
9. What’s one thing about you that might surprise your colleagues?
As I mentioned before, I play tag rugby, which I think might be a bit surprising as I don’t seem to be of the sporty sort 
10. In your own words, why is the work we do important?
As someone who enjoys cycling a lot, getting people on bikes who didn’t think they could is hugely rewarding.
