Events & Activities

Community Activities

At Get Cycling, we love being part of the community and getting involved with cycling events and inclusive activities throughout the year. We organise and support a wide range of cycling projects across the UK, helping people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the freedom of cycling.

We also run regular social cycling sessions as part of our Pathways to Pedals programme. These relaxed, friendly rides are designed for people with disabilities or support needs, and are a great way to try different cycles, meet new people, and build confidence in a safe, supportive environment.

We work closely with our friends at Everybody’s Cycling, a community benefit society that was formed after the success of our former Events & Programmes department. Together, we continue to champion inclusive cycling across the country.

Below, you'll find more details about some of the regular projects we’re part of. You can also check out our News page for the latest updates, and don’t forget to subscribe to hear first about special promotions, upcoming events, and new opportunities to get cycling!

Social Cycling Sessions

Social Cycling Sessions are a big part of the Pathways to Pedals programme! These sessions are designed to bring people together and make cycling accessible for everyone, regardless of ability.

Whether you're a community group, a cycling club, or a leisure centre, our Social Cycling Sessions offer a fantastic opportunity to promote fitness, friendship and fun.

Everybody's Cycling

Looking to book cycle events or support programmes?

All Get Cycling’s work in this area has been transferred to a new community benefit society called Everybody’s Cycling. All the skilled events staff have moved over, along with all the amazing cycles and equipment. Even better: the new charity has funding for development, so it is offering more attractions and services than before. Our friends at Everybody’s Cycling have inspiring services for workplaces, public sector clients, events professionals, community groups, schools, and special needs organisations.

Care Home and School Cycle Taster Visits

We can bring a selection of our inclusive cycles to your care home or school for a fun, hands-on taster session. It’s a great way to try different cycles in a safe and friendly setting. Get in touch to find out more.

Blesma - Introduction to Cycling

Members of Blesma, the military charity for limbless veterans, have been coming to try out a range of handcycles, recumbents and trikes at our Introduction to Cycling event.

After a short assessment by our expert staff, participants set off to explore some of the cycle lanes close to our shop.

For the past few years, they’ve enjoyed outings on York Solar System Cycleway, a picturesque National Cycleway very close to our headquarters.

Diffability Podcast

We heard from Michael Atwal-Brice about the new season of the Diffability podcast and we agree on its importance in getting the right advice and support for families with children with additional needs or disabilities.

We champion this incredible podcast!

Superhero Series

We were proud to be named the exclusive supplier of disability cycles for the Superhero Series, powered by Marvel. The series is the UK’s only mass participation sports event dedicated to the 13.3 million people with disabilities across the nation.
