If travelling to our showroom in York is difficult, our home demo service could be the answer.

We can bring a suitable cycle directly to your home, giving you the opportunity to see how it works and take it for a proper test ride in familiar surroundings.

How does a home cycle demo work?

A member of our experienced team will bring the agreed cycle to you. We’ll explain how it works and make sure you understand the controls and features before you head out for a ride.

We’ll also give you advice on basic maintenance and answer any questions you may have.

Most importantly, you’ll have the chance to experience the cycle for yourself.

This can be particularly useful if you’re considering a specialist cycle for the first time. It gives you the opportunity to see how it feels in real life and whether it works for your individual needs.

What does a home demo cost?

Our home demonstration service costs £250.*

If you decide to purchase the cycle following your demonstration, we’ll deduct the £250 demo fee from the purchase price.

This means you can try the cycle at home before making your final decision.

Who is the home demo service for?

Our home demo service is particularly useful for people who find travelling to York difficult.

It can also be helpful if you would like to try a cycle on the types of roads, paths, or surfaces you are likely to use regularly.

We can discuss your requirements before arranging a demonstration. This helps us make sure we’re bringing a suitable cycle for you to try.

Finding the right specialist cycle

At Get Cycling CIC, we have a wide range of specialist cycles available to try at our York showroom.

These include tricycles, recumbent cycles, tandems, handcycles, side-by-side cycles and wheelchair transport cycles, as well as electric options.

However, we don’t carry every model or style at all times. That’s why it’s helpful to tell us as much as possible about your needs and the cycles you’re interested in trying.

Our team can then help identify suitable options before arranging your demonstration.
