Van Raam Easy Rider

Van Raam’s Easy Rider semi-recumbent tricycle has a unique frame designed to make it stable, maneuverable, easy to get on and off and incredibly comfortable to ride. The relaxed riding position, suspension, long wheelbase and differential axle all contribute to making it a class-leader for comfort and stability – even if you’ve never ridden a tricycle before you’ll get on with it straight away.

Its specially designed seat has an easily adjustable back, base and raised sides for comfort and lateral support. The ‘crank forward’ riding position keeps the centre of gravity low, unlike an upright cycle where the pedals are underneath the rider. The Easy Rider is also nimble, thanks to its small turning circle and differential. Narrow enough to fit through a normal doorway, it’s easy to store too.

Design

Completely redesigned for this model year, the hydroformed frame combines strength and smooth good looks and allows almost all of the cables run inside the frame. Not only does it look neat, but it also gives the cables extra protection. In addition, the Easy Rider has chain tubes instead of a chain guard, which contributes to its stylish design and practicality – no more noises from the transmission or oily trouser legs. As standard, it’s equipped with a luggage tray with quick-release straps, which makes it easy to carry groceries. The luggage platform slides along with the seat so allows you to shorten the tricycle and store it more easily. The luggage platform is made of PLA: a durable, biodegradable user-friendly plastic.

Options

The Easy Rider is available in Medium and Large frame sizes, making it suitable for most adults.  Optional extras such as a shopping basket, stick holder, mirror, mountain gears, or a frame colour of your choice,  mean that the tricycle can be completely customised to your requirements. Smart E-Bike

The Easy Rider can also be equipped with Van Raam’s own HT motor driving the rear wheels. The bike is also delivered as a ‘Smart E-Bike’ which means you can view data about your battery and bike in the Van Raam E-Bike App.

With an optional second battery on the tricycle, you can enjoy the electric assistance on longer journeys. Once one battery is empty it’s easy to change to the other one with the optional switchable battery pack. In addition, the electric version has an external charging port in the backrest so the battery can be charged directly without removing it from the trike.
