Inclusive cycles are specialist, personal, and often a significant cost. That is why we offer several ways for you to try, hire, borrow or work towards owning the right cycle for you.
Whether you want a test ride, short hire, a free month loan through our Pathways to Pedals programme, or to try a cycle before you buy through Renticy, we can help you find the option that suits you best.

You can book a free one hour test ride at our York showroom.
This is the best place to start if you:
- Are new to inclusive cycling
- Are not sure what type of cycle suits you
- Want to compare different cycles
- Want guidance from our experienced team
You can try a range of trikes, tandems, side by side cycles and non-traditional cycles in a relaxed, supported environment.
There is no pressure to buy. This is simply about finding what feels right.
Option 1: Hire A Cycle
A simple way to use an inclusive cycle for a day, a weekend, or longer.
Hiring is ideal if you:
- Want to try cycling for the first time
- Need a cycle for a short period
- Are visiting York
- Want to test what type of cycle suits you
We have a range of trikes, side by side cycles, tandems and specialist cycles available to hire.
Option 2: Free loan
If cost is a barrier, you may qualify for a free one month loan of a cycle through our Pathways to Pedals programme.
This programme is designed to help disabled people, people with long term health conditions, and people with support needs access cycling.

Option 3: Renticy – try before you buy
Renticy is a flexible way to book and use our cycles while you decide if you want to own one.
