Get Cycling gets a visit from twin city cyclists

The cycling group from Münster visited York and stopped off at Get Cycling

A group of cyclists from one of our twin cities travelled to York this week and dropped in to visit us when they arrived. Jim McGurn is one of the hosts accommodating some of the group and a board member.

“This was one in a series of annual cycling exchanges, and we look forward to cycling to Münster next year.”

The group, from Münster, arrived on Friday, June 9th and enjoyed a fun weekend exploring the city which included a formal reception by the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress and a tour of Mansion House.

When they arrived in York, cycling the 75km from the Hull-Rotterdam Ferry Port, they met their hosts at Millennium Bridge. They stopped by Get Cycling for some refreshments and a chance to try out some of our unique cycles, including Everbody’s Cycling’s “circle cycle”, an exciting machine that carries 8 and is certainly a fun sight!

After enjoying the sunny weather and our historic city, the group met back at Get Cycling on Tuesday, 13th June, to bid farewell to their new friends and set off back to Hull to catch the ferry home.

We look forward to seeing them all again in the future!
