Van Raam Chat (electric assist)
The Van Raam Chat tricycle rickshaw is designed for an adult to ride with one or two passengers on the front seat. The rear rider has full control of the steering and brakes. Made in the Netherlands, this is a quality machine – it is built to last.

The Chat gives people the opportunity to talk to each other (Chatting!) while enjoying a comfortable bike ride, enabled by a combination of suspension, correct ergonomics, and comfortable seat. Elderly people, for example, can explore the city together with a younger person pedalling from the rear.

The frame comes with 5-year warranty.
Electric assist: the ‘Silent System’ is produced entirely by Van Raam. The motor, battery, controller, smart display, and software are developed especially for inclusive cycles. The motor also assists when reversing the cycle (pedalling backwards). A smartphone app connects with the settings of the e-system, and can record cycling data, including speed and distance. Battery capacity can also be viewed on the app, real-time.
The Silent electrical system is a 36 Volt system with 250-Watt motor. The pedal sensor detects movement and force and adjusts output accordingly. The system is very smooth – unexpected jolting, which can occur in other systems, is prevented with the Silent System.
‘Extra steering’ – a combination of Ackerman and Sensor-Point mechanisms (see video) – allow for a tighter turning-circle and increased stability.
