Hase Kettwiesel Cross Steps

The Hase Kettwiesel Cross Steps recumbent tricycle is designed for anyone who’s looking for a fast delta recumbent with full suspension that’s capable of tackling rough terrain. It is equally at home on smooth trails and rooty, rocky technical descents. Our customers love the way it handles on tracks and its neat touches like the linear derailleur for extra ground clearance.

Features:

  • Very agile, smooth riding
  • Excellent stability thanks to low centre of gravity
  • Full suspension
  • Usable in tandem and as a trailer
  • Hase Bikes Differential
  • E-motor

Be it off-road thrills in the forest or the challenges of the bike park, one thing is clear: the Cross is built to explore the places other tricycles fear to go.

For riders with special needs and/or off-road genes, there are all kinds of special pedals and accessories. As a delta trike, the Cross has a tight turning circle, can be parked upright, and hitched up for tandem fun.

Bombing downhill, leaning into corners, testing your limits: this is the off-roader’s passion, and demands the best equipment. The Cross has an extremely sporty chassis and keeps its cool on the gnarliest stretches – thanks to the independent wheel suspension with anti-roll bar and adjustable air shocks.

Bottoming-out on jump landings?  This is why Hase developed their own linear derailleur for the Cross with more ground clearance than standard derailleur cages. The 11-speed system made from CNC-machined aluminium is sophisticated, but not finicky.

The Cross excels on looser terrain too; every Cross comes with a differential, which transmits power to both rear wheels. And the tyres almost never lose traction, because with a delta the rider’s weight is over the rear axle.

Riders who can’t or would rather not rely on pure muscle power can switch on the Shimano Steps mid-motor any time they need a little boost. The smooth and quiet system is seamlessly integrated into the bottom bracket and helps you rocket up climbs. If riding on Tarmac isn’t exciting enough, thanks to the ingenious folding mechanism, three quick steps is all it takes to transform the trike into a compact unit measuring a maximum of 38 inches (96 cm) that fits easily into the boot of most cars.

All Hase products are fully customisable so getting the right specifications for any rider is doable.
