Hase Kettwiesel Allround

When we decided to add recumbent delta trikes to our range of inclusive cycles we chose the best available, designed and made in Germany by Hase. Their decades of experience are evident in all their products and we have seen how their iconic Kettwiesel has evolved over the years. The Hase Kettwiesel Allround is designed for anyone looking for the extra stability of three wheels, and the comfortable, relaxed sensation of laid-back riding. Our customers appreciate the tight turning circle and direct feel of the steering – plus the sense of speed from being close to the ground.

Features:

  • Very agile, smooth-riding
  • Excellent safety and stability thanks to low centre of gravity
  • Space-saving when parked on end
  • Usable in tandem and as a trailer
  • E-motor option

With its unrivalled cornering stability, high level of safety, and exceptional comfort, the Kettwiesel offers unparalleled riding fun. And at stoplights and during breaks, you can remain seated while other cyclists have to dismount.

The Kettwiesel was designed to offer an ideal blend of ergonomics, responsive handling and unlimited versatility and can be customised to suit all kinds of riders.

The under-seat handlebars of the Kettwiesel complements its ergonomics. By loosening an Allen bolt, the angle and lateral positioning of each handlebar can be precisely adjusted to the rider’s sitting position.

Thanks to the quick-adjust frame, the front boom can be easily and accurately repositioned to suit the rider’s leg length without having to shorten or lengthen the chain. The length-adjustment markings make it easy to remember length settings when switching between various riders.

With Hase’s custom-made linear derailleur ground clearance will never be an issue. Paired with a 9 speed 11-42 cassette you will always have enough ratios to take on any gradient.

Quick release adjusters make it easy to alter the angle of the seatback. Choose any sitting position: from laid-back and sporty to upright. For transport, just release the seatback to make the trike flat for easy stowing.

If you need to take off the wheels for storing or transporting the Kettwiesel, then simply loosen the bolt on each Quickstick hub – and they’re off!

There are many options available for the Allround, this makes the cycle customisable for almost any rider. Please get in touch for advice of which options would work for you.

Adapt and Customise

Electric motor: Shimano Steps 6100 mid-drive or Heinzmann front hub motor.

5-point lap & shoulder harness system – with or without shoulder pads.

Differential: differentials allow both rear wheels to be driven – balancing out the drive forces – and this makes going round corners the same whichever way you turn. Without a differential all pedalling forces travel through one wheel – a differential makes it much less likely to lose traction in slippery conditions.

Other available options include a choice of forks, rear shock absorbers, gear shift systems (incl. Rolhoff 14-speed hub), crank sets, drive train, front & rear wheels, brakes, seats, handlebars, mudguards, lighting systems, racks & bags, foldable fairings, pedals, wheel covers, walking stick holder, rear-view mirror, indicators and more.

Other colours are available at extra cost, in any of the standard RAL colours.

A range of adaptations is available. See the Accessories & Adaptations section of this website.
