We’re absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news—our CEO, Joanne Mahon, has been recognised as one of Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling 2024! This prestigious annual list celebrates women who are making a significant impact in the cycling world, whether through advocacy, leadership, or inspiring others to get on their bikes.

Joanne’s passion for inclusive cycling has been the driving force behind our organisation. Since joining Get Cycling CIC, she has championed access for all, ensuring that people of all abilities and backgrounds can experience the joy and freedom that cycling brings. Her leadership has helped us expand our services, develop innovative programmes, and build partnerships that support community cycling initiatives across the UK.

Joanne’s journey in the cycling community has always been fuelled by a deep commitment to inclusivity. She has tirelessly advocated for adaptive cycles and worked to create welcoming cycling environments where everyone feels they belong. Her mission has been to break down barriers to cycling, ensuring no one is left out. From families and individuals to community groups and workplaces, Joanne has led initiatives that make cycling more accessible, affordable, and enjoyable.

This recognition highlights not just Joanne’s achievements but also the collective efforts of our entire team—staff, volunteers, and supporters—who share her vision for a more inclusive cycling world. It’s a testament to the power of teamwork and shared values in transforming lives through cycling.

We’re incredibly proud of Joanne and her dedication to making cycling a possibility for everyone. Her leadership continues to inspire us to do more and to dream bigger as we work towards a future where cycling is inclusive and accessible to all.
