Customer Service Manager Vacancy

We are currently looking for an experienced Customer Service Manager to join our growing team based at our Showroom in York, UK.
Company Description
We are an independent, community-owned cycle showroom based in York, with customers nationwide. We offer all kinds of bikes, trikes, adaptions, and accessories for anyone wanting to get into cycling: for people with disabilities or support needs, families and friends, individuals, groups, students, and workplaces.
Get Cycling CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company. A CIC exists for the benefit of the community and our mission at Get Cycling CIC is to ensure that anyone who wants to cycle, has the opportunity to do so.
Role Description
Our retail social enterprise specialises in the sale, hire, loan, service, and repair of inclusive cycles across the UK. The Customer Service Manager is responsible for managing the organisation’s retail and sales efforts to help achieve our immediate and long-term business goals.
As a cycle retail and customer service professional, you will be overseeing our York showroom, leading our product and sales strategy, and working closely with our teams to implement an exceptional customer experience to support the business’s growth plans.
Candidate Description
You will have an excellent grasp of inclusive cycle retail in the UK and overseas and a logical mind, thinking proactively when it comes to customer solutions and profitability. You will also need:
- Exceptional sales, customer service, and staff management skills.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality service.
- Competent management skills, and ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Negotiation skills and experience dealing with customer and supplier quotes and agreements.
- Experience with importing and exporting goods, or willingness to learn.
- A minimum of five years experience working in a retail or sales role and two years in a management role.
- Business degree, operational management, or similar qualification preferred.
You must have a passion for cycling and want to help others to get cycling.
