At Get Cycling, we believe everyone should have the chance to experience the freedom and independence that cycling brings. That’s why we are excited to introduce Renticy, our new cycle rental programme designed to make inclusive cycling accessible for everyone.
What is Renticy?
Renticy is a flexible rental programme that lets you enjoy a cycle without the upfront cost of buying one outright. You can use a cycle over an extended period, giving you time to gain confidence, find your rhythm, and make sure the cycle suits your needs.
For some people, Renticy also offers a rent-to-own option, meaning your rental payments could contribute towards eventual ownership of your cycle.
How can Renticy support independence?
Having regular access to a cycle can transform your daily life. Renticy can help you:
- Travel more independently
- Explore your local area or enjoy a day out without relying on others
- Build confidence on a cycle at your own pace
- Improve physical and mental well-being
- Reduce reliance on public transport or taxis
This programme isn’t just about getting from A to B, it’s about creating choice, freedom, and confidence.
Perfect for a day out in York
Renticy is also a brilliant option for a day out in York. Our cycles make it easy to explore the city’s parks, riverside paths, and historic streets, all at your own pace. Whether you want a relaxed ride or a longer trip, Renticy gives you the flexibility to enjoy the sights without worrying about transport or accessibility issues.
A supportive and flexible approach
We understand that everyone’s needs are different. Renticy is designed to be:
- Flexible, so you can find a rental plan that works for you
- Supportive, with guidance from our experienced team
- Inclusive, offering a wide range of cycles, including adapted and side-by-side models
Our aim is to remove barriers and make cycling simple, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
Important things to know
To take part in the Renticy programme:
- A refundable deposit is required at the start of your rental
- We will carry out ID checks as part of the process
These steps help us keep the programme fair, safe, and sustainable for everyone.
