York Residents Festival: Discover York by Cycle

Every January, York Residents’ Festival celebrates the people who call York home. Organised by Make It York, the festival thanks local York residents for the warm welcome they give to the millions of visitors who explore the city each year.
The festival is a fantastic opportunity to discover York from a different perspective, with local businesses often offering special experiences, events, and exclusive offers for residents.
Explore York on two or three wheels
One of the best ways to experience York is by cycle. With traffic-free routes, riverside paths, parks, and historic streets, cycling allows you to explore the city at your own pace.
Whether you’re planning a leisurely ride with family or looking to discover somewhere new, there are plenty of accessible routes to enjoy throughout the year.
At Get Cycling CIC, we offer a wide range of cycles for hire, including:
- Tricycles
- Tandems
- Handcycles
- Side-by-side cycles
- Wheelchair transport cycles
Our hire fleet makes it possible for more people to enjoy cycling and experience everything York has to offer.
