Amtryke Recumbent Tadpole Trike

The Amtryke Tadpole is a full-featured ‘tadpole’ recumbent tricycle (two front wheels and a single rear wheel) that’s stable and responsive. Two front wheels steer the bike and provide braking with a pair of hand operated disc brakes, the rider rests comfortably in the fully adjustable sling-style seat. Pedal boom can be shortened or lengthened to accommodate riders of different heights. Comes in Amtryke red. Expert assembly required.

The single rear drive wheel gives good traction, and features dual derailleurs for 21 speeds; three chain rings in the front and a 7 speed rear derailleur.  The gears are selected with a simple twist grip shifters. The handles are oriented horizontally, parallel to the ground, to provide a relaxing hand position, and makes entry and exit off the trike easier. Just set the parking brakes and use the handles for leverage.
