We think this is the best folding electric upright-tadpole-tricycle available. Other folding trikes achieve a neat fold at the expense of ride quality, this model doesn’t compromise – it folds neatly and rides brilliantly too.
Our customers love its neat design and stable handling. Etnnic’s Folding 1.0 Electric Trike is designed specifically for anyone who has difficulty maintaining balance on a conventional bicycle and needs a tricycle with electric assistance that’s easy to store and transport. Having two wheels at the front makes it easy to position this trike accurately, with no risk of inadvertently knocking a rear wheel – as can sometimes happen when steering a conventional delta tricycle through narrow gaps.
A 250 watt motor located either in the hub or the frame delivers smooth assistance for tired legs or when the road gets hilly, and a has range of up to 40 km.
Thanks to the easily adjustable seat and handlebars, the Etnnic Folding 1.0 Electric Trike ensures comfortable and safe riding for adults of most heights. Its low frame makes it amazingly easy to get on and off – just step aboard, no need to stretch to get onto the saddle.
6000 series aluminium frame plus lightweight alloy components make it surprisingly light for such a versatile machine, made of 6000 series aluminium and weighing around 21kg (Hub motor version) it’s capable of carrying up to 100kg.
Central Drive available with 3, 5 or 8 speed hub gears – call us today for prices.
Folding this trike takes seconds – simply release the clamps on the front axle beam and pivot the wheels forward and swing over the rear triangle. The front wheels are easy to detach too, just by pressing a button, thanks to Sturmey Archer’s innovative quick-release system.
Once folded, its dimensions are only 80x69x39cm, so it can be kept neatly out of the way until you need it – perfect for offices, studio apartments, motor homes and caravans.
Available with either hub or central electric drive system:
The main advantages of Electric Central (EC) are improved weight distribution and compatibility with multi-geared transmissions, which makes it more suitable for use in hillier areas. It’s easier to change a tyre or tube on a cycle with a mid-drive too.
The electric hub (EH) system is slightly lighter than the Electric Central (EC) and requires very little maintenance since it places less strain on the transmission. Only available with single speed gearing, it’s a great choice for flatter terrain.
