Get Cycling North Ayrshire 2017!

A fleet of amazing bikes will be stopping people in their tracks when the Get Cycling bike try-out roadshow tours North Ayrshire this autumn. There will be cycles for all ages and tastes to try out: city bikes, folders, tandems, trailer-bikes, trikes, recumbent and fun bikes to make you smile.

North Ayrshire Council is working with Transport Scotland and Paths for All’s Smarter Choices, Smarter Places initiative to bring the Get Cycling Roadshow to schools, as well as a public event for all ages at Dalry Primary School (Astroturf Pitch) on Saturday 11th November. There’ll also be free cycle maintenance courses at schools and several local workplaces to keep you and your bike safe this winter. It’s all happening between 30th October and 11th November 2017.

As well as a bike try out track, the public event will include a bike doctor service (checking and tune up), cycling simulator arcade, pedal-powered music player, as well as advice on sustainable transport in the area. You can even take a ride on an 11-seater BikeBus! Visitors can also pick up a 32-page beginners’ guide to cycling. Everything is free of charge!
